Building by blueprint
Todd’s work keeps returning to one idea: an idea should become a system, a written plan, a working website, an automated process, a book or a routine that keeps running after the first burst of energy fades.
His memoir, Built by Blueprint, is candid about mistakes and hard years. As he puts it, the blueprint does not erase the pain. It gives the pain a job.
The story so far
Early life in Maryland
Born in Columbia, Maryland, Todd graduated from Century High School in 2007. He worked at a barber shop, a coffee shop and GameStop as a teenager, and at seventeen opened a dirt bike repair shop out of the family garage.
Losses and a rebuild
His first serious business loss meant selling his own dirt bikes to keep a venture going. Later came what he calls the hardest reinvention of his life: he read everything he could, then rebuilt from the basics, a stable home, exercise, diet and a daily habit of building.
A fresh start in the Philippines
Todd moved to the Philippines for a fresh beginning and to build a family. His business travel includes regular stops in China, and Asia is part of his long-term plans.
